Attention Ski Buddies! Note the Date -Feb 4th to Feb 8th, 2015- for a trip to an exciting NEW destination...

A powder pocket located high in the Eastern Oregon mountains, Anthony Lakes serves up snow choked downhill skiing, superbly groomed cross country skiing, peaceful high elevation lakeside snowshoeing and steep and deep CAT skiing! With the highest base elevation in the Pacific Northwest, 7,100 feet, and a location on the Elkhorn Ridge of the Blue Mountains, Anthony Lakes has the recipe for light, dry snow.

The downhill ski area offers 21 trails, 1,100 acres of skiing, three lifts and averages 300" of cold smoke snow per season. The cross country center offers 30 kilometers of groomed, track-set and skate trails that meander through the alpine forest and meadows and along the shores of the lakes. Snowshoers can enjoy a loop trail around the largest of the Anthony Lakes. To top it off, Anthony Lakes offers phenomenal Snow Cat tours off the back side of the ski area.

Ski Buddies will be offering two types of lodging for this trip; a traditional full service ski lodge in the valley and two yurts located out on the cross country ski trails. This will be a dog friendly trip!

Trip cost: $188 per person, includes four nights lodging and a dinner on Friday night at the Anthony Lakes base lodge.

We have obtained very inexpensive group discounted tickets for downhill skiing ($17.50 per person per day) and Nordic skiing ($6.50 per person per day) available for purchase at the ticket windows at Anthony Lakes to any member of our group.

Registration for this trip begins at the time of the October 5th Ski Buddies season-opening potluck (6:00 p.m. at the Summit, 420 E. Pike St. On Capitol Hill in Seattle) and sign-ups will be first come first served with priority given to those who make payment, either online or with check for $188 in person at the potluck.
