Join Ski Buddies at Royal Gorge, North America’s largest cross country ski resort, in Soda Springs, California, Presidents’ Day Weekend, February 13 through 17, 2025. Royal Gorge offers 140km of trails over 6,000 acres of terrain. We’ll be staying in a beautiful 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom ski lodge with hot tub 13 miles east of Royal Gorge near Truckee, California.
From the lodge, skiers can easily travel not only Royal Gorge but to the Tahoe Donner Cross Country Center and Downhill Ski Resort, and the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. One of the oldest ski resorts on the west coast, privately owned Sugar Bowl is well known for its significant advanced terrain. Sugar Bowl purchased Royal Gorge in 2012 and operates it in partnership with the Truckee-Donner Land Trust.
The trip price - - $510 per person - - includes accommodations, après ski appetizers, and continental breakfasts. Each participant will arrange his/her own transportation, but we will likely coordinate flights (to nearby Reno), and share rented SUVs. The daily trail fee at Royal Gorge is $50.
Upon registration 50% is due with remaining balance due by 12/13/2024.
