The club has a decent size group of snowshoe enthusiasts who take to the many snowshoe trails of the Pacific Northwest each winter.
Most of these trips are day trips organized as meetups, but there are a few destination trips as well. The club has visited Hurricane Ridge several times, camping nearby. The yearly trip to Stevens Pass is also a popular showshoe trip.
Most snowshoers in the Pacific Northwest use some variety of mountaineering snowshoe (i.e. MSR style). The snowpack seldom requires a lot of float, and the more technical style of shoe allows one to tackle more difficult terrain safely.
